Meet Marcus
Hey there, I’m Marcus, and my story is a bit of a mystery, but my hopes and dreams of finding a forever home are as real as they can be. I guess I caused quite a sensation the 10 days I was on the move throughout Blue Island—I was wearing a collar and a leash, but I was quite elusive and crafty because of how scared I was. Thankfully, some really kind people worked together to help get me here.
I’m definitely a gentle giant. I’m a bigger fellow, but I am so calm on my leash and in my kennel. I am easy going and mild. I would never boast this myself, but everyone tells me I’m a total hunk—I guess my coat is velvety soft, and my ears are soft and sweet, and my eyes are a very hypnotic green, and the truth is I stare out at the world, waiting to understand what will happen to me next, daring to hope it will be something wonderful.
It's hard for me in these kennels. I love my walks, I love sniffing and roaming and feeling the fresh air, and I love stopping to watch the birds at their feeders or the geese flying overhead. I love the freedom I feel when I’m out in the world, and it’s hard for me to come back to the kennels when I need to. But I’m so grateful to have my food, and my blankets and to be warm. It was very cold when I was out on my own, and I have some frostbite on my ears that is beginning to heal.
I’m gentle and kind with all people, and have absolutely no problem with cats, but I do not like other dogs. I will need to be in a household where I am the only dog around, and I will need to be paired with someone who will be patient with me when I encounter other dogs in the world—I am learning, because I am very smart and I know many commands, but those other dogs are about the only thing in this world that rile me up.
I look like a tough guy, but I am a giant softie, and I know I would thrive with someone who could give me a safe, warm home, and some consistent affection. I would love to be with someone who wants to be outside with me, on long walks or playing in the backyard, enjoying the beauty all around. We can watch and appreciate it together.
I am up-to-date on my vaccinations, am heartworm negative and am scheduled for my neuter and chip soon.

Meet Kobe
Introducing Kobe
This beautiful boy was left at a local veterinarians office when they could no longer care for him 🥹
Kobe is 4yo, FULLY vaccinated, neutered & chipped. He is said to be a lab mix. Kobe is 55-60lbs. He lived with another dog all of his life.
This sweet boy is utterly confused. His whole world was turned upside down & now he finds himself in a kennel in a strange place with people he doesn’t know. It’s heartbreaking 💔
We would love to get him out of lock up ASAP. He needs to go back to a home STAT.
He is a perfect little gentleman and well behaved.

This sweet girl has the biggest heart and the softest eyes, she just wants a human (or humans!) to call her own. Tori adores people and gives her whole heart to them. She’s happiest soaking up love, attention, and a good belly rub.
Tori would thrive as the only pet in her home, she wants to be your one and only!

Ozzy, another discarded dog, found himself in lock up late last week. He arrived with an injured paw & saw our vet right away…he’s a senior
You know how we feel about seniors in kennels & we do NOT like it. They deserve a comfy bed, not a 3X4 kennel in a loud & hot garage.

At 8 years young, this boy is loving being in a foster home. He feels safe & loved & this is all we want for him
Ozzy has a blast at the beach, hiking through the mountains, car rides & most of all, LOVES snuggling with his foster.
