This sweet girl has the biggest heart and the softest eyes, she just wants a human (or humans!) to call her own. Tori adores people and gives her whole heart to them. She’s happiest soaking up love, attention, and a good belly rub.
Tori would thrive as the only pet in her home, she wants to be your one and only!

Tori is fully vetted, spayed & chipped. Tori is a SOLO dog & would do best in the home as the only 4 legged. She’s a solid 65lbs, loves people, loves her walks, is a top notch co pilot & so very deserving of a home to call her own.

Meet Nya
You might remember our beautiful Akita Layla, nka Nya, that came into lock up in November.
She had been seen wandering the trailer parks in Blue Island for days & was humanely trapped & brought to safety.
Nya was adopted at Thanksgiving. Sadly, she is being returned
Her Daddy is keeping her until we can find a new home for her.
Nya is 6 years old & sweet as can be. It hurts our hearts knowing she has to leave her new home
& new Daddy. We are seeking an adopter with Akita experience.

Meet Wizard
Introducing Wizard
This handsome boy & his side kick, Pepper, found themselves in lockup last week. No owners came
Wizard is a SOLID boy! He loves other dogs (especially Pepper), great on a leash,
67lbs, vaccinated, and ready to be busted out of the kennels.
Interested in meeting this beautiful boy?! Inquire with us & set up your meet today! Keep an eye out for info on Pepper too! It would be wonderful to keep them together if at all possible.

Meet Pepper
Introducing Pepper
This little Chili Pepper found himself in lockup with his pal, Wizard.
He gave us quite a scare when he slipped out of his leash & went out for a little joy run Thank God he was found!
Do you want to know how we found him? We brought his sidekick Wizard out while searching for him & what do you know? He came running to his friend
Pep is a little scrapper weighing in at 32lbs. He loves other dogs, vaccinated & ready to move along. As mentioned in Wizards post, it would be wonderful if we could find a family willing to adopt both. ***NOT a deal breaker if not.
He is one happy boy! He gets so excited for his walks & he skips right along! He loves his pack walks most.

Meet Dash
Introducing Dash
This little girl found herself in lockup after a Good Samaritan found her tied to the railroad tracks in Blue Island She couldn’t have gotten herself to safety if she wanted to Thank GOD for the good person that found her & literally saved her life.
Dash is a young girl, Chi mix, under 20lbs. She will see our vet ASAP for an exam & all of her vaccinations. She is NOT sitting in a kennel. Thankfully we have some incredible volunteers & she’ll be staying with them until she’s adopted. She has a lot of puppy energy, she is very loyal to her human caretakers.
Dash will need lots of exercise and with adoption, Dan Bartley "Doggy Dan" will include 1 free training session.

Meet Maeve
Maeve came into lock up in April of 2023. She was transferred to a no kill shelter in Grayslake shortly after arriving in Blue Island. She is being cared for & is loved very much by the wonderful folks at Save-A-Pet.
Sadly, Maeve is still waiting for her happily ever after She’s been waiting almost 3 YEARS.
Maeve is an 8 year old pointer mix. She’s fully vetted, self sufficient & just needs a home of her own. She has shown to do okay with other dogs, however, due to her long residence in a shelter,
a home without other dogs would be ideal for this senior girl.

Meet Reggie
Reggie - A boy with his toy
Our gentle giant Reggie will be looking for a home very soon. He is just a chill young boy, loves his walks, loves his toys, not a huge fan of cars as of now, but who can blame him?
Last time he was in a car was when he was let out & abandoned.
Although we don’t know what his past was, we DO know his future is all gravy. This boy will never go hungry, will never be abandoned & will be cared for like one of our own until his new family finds him.

Meet Lady Bug
Ladybug is a super sweet gal - She is shy but very curious! She loves to walk and sniff the flowers, lay in the grass and just take in her surroundings. She's just happy to be involved and around you. She is still getting to know us and we are still getting to know her - We believe her to be a boxer mix and very young.
Vaccinations and spay to be scheduled ASAP.

Meet Cheese
Meet Cheese! He is one of the softest dogs we've ever met - his fur is like velvet all over. He has piercing eyes. He is a little skittish at first, walks great on a leash and is very curious. We're still getting to know Cheese and he's still getting to know us - Vaccinations and Neuter to be scheduled ASAP
